BOJ deputy governor doubts digital currency will enhance monetary policy

TOKYO - Bank of Japan Deputy Governor Masayoshi Amamiya said on Saturday it was doubtful whether central banks could enhance the effectiveness of their monetary policies by issuing digital currencies.
